What do you do at Woodrow Mercer?
I am a Senior Recruitment Consultant and provide Cyber Security sales and technical professionals to vendors in the US & UK. I have been lucky enough to apply my skillset across a variety of industries . I have experience of sourcing for highly regulated and structured programmes as well as agile and dynamic organisations in both public and private sectors. I pride myself on investing time into listening and truly understand people’s challenges and requirements, considering diversity , inclusion & brand value proposition. Done well, this job is about much more than matching CV’s with job specs.
I am continuously building my network and reputation within Cybersecurity, I manage Security Social a regular podcast and video series for professionals working in the industry.
What are the core areas you recruit for?
I provide Cyber Security Sales personal for vendors in the US & UK markets. Roles range from enterprise directors, Pre-Sales engineers and Sales Development personnel. I also work technical and solutions-based requirements for my cybersecurity clients as I have 6 years of successful experience behind me in this space. I have worked with start-ups to some of the largest, multifaceted enterprises in the world. Growing and maintaining strong relationships allows me to work closely with clients to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges with clarity.
What do you enjoy about working for Woodrow Mercer Tech? What do you enjoy most about working in recruitment?
I worked for one of the largest brands in the world prior to joining Woodrow Mercer, I often noticed their marketing and approach on professional platforms and found it forward thinking and had more of a human touch than I was used to working as a cog in the very large wheel! As soon as I met senior members of the team upon interview, I knew it was the company I wanted to work for. The company was making impressive manoeuvres in current markets and really have their finger on the pulse with emerging markets and trends. Everyone is inspiring or inspired to make the most out of themselves and it makes for a great dynamic. I have all the tools to do my job in terms of software and tech plus the wealth of knowledge and information which really makes the difference.
What are your interests outside of work?
When not finding the next superstar Sales Director I enjoy DJing Soul, Funk & House Music, and everything in between. Also, a keen Basketball fan, I still play occasionally (Knee’s permitting!) As well as ticking off as many restaurant experiences as I can. Street food too, in fact food as a general 😊 Heston Blumenthal being my standout supremo so far from my visits.
