About the role
Within the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Performance, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Quality Officer (Fixed Term Contract 18 months) to join our growing team and contribute to improving performance and decision making across our University through the provision of high quality and meaningful data analysis and insights.
The Business Intelligence Service, sitting within the Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate, is responsible for key student-related statutory returns and the data for national and strategic surveys and provides data insights throughout the University to assess our performance and to make informed decisions.
If you love working with data and have a keen eye for detail, this exciting role offers the opportunity to drive forward improvements in data quality across the institution. You will be responsible for designing and implementing regular and rigorous data quality testing, monitoring and cleansing across our student record data and implementing long-term solutions to identified data issues to ensure complete, timely, accurate data that is fit for strategic decision-making, statutory returns, funding, league tables and other onward use.
With a relevant degree, professional qualification and experience, you will have highly developed analytical skills and a proven track record of working with complex data and data quality issues. This role requires excellent teamwork, problem-solving skills and communication skills, alongside the resilience and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and pressurised environment. A background in Higher Education is not essential to this role.
